Enjoy 2 for 1 meals with tastecard.

On the map for its iconic music and fashion scene, Manchester’s got loads to offer when it comes to food too. From make-your-jaw-drop dessert joints to spots with best hearty food around, we’ve rounded up a few of the best independent restaurants in Manchester. And you can use your tastecard to get 2 for 1 meals at all of them.

Teppanyaki Chinatown.

If you like your meals with a touch of theatre, then Teppanyaki Chinatown is the place for you. Named after the style of cuisine that gets its diners excited, Teppanyaki means "grilling on an iron plate", and that's just what you'll get.

Visiting here is as much an experience as it is a feast, as you get to watch everything cook right before your eyes by their talented chefs. Free-range eggs and chicken from Cumbria, 28-day aged beef from English and Scottish farms, and multi-award-winning Loch Duart salmon are but a handful of the ingredients they use.

There's tons of sushi dishes to pick from too, plus plenty of hot appetisers, as well as veggie-friendly dishes, are also available, so all walks of life will find something utterly delicious to try.

Offer: 2 for 1 meals, Sunday - Thursday

Evuna.

For the sweet, sunny taste of España, head to Evuna on Deansgate. Spoilt for choice is an understatement when it comes to their menu, treating foodies to a selection of classics like paella, fish and meat dishes, and our favourite: tapas.

If you skip straight to the tapas section as well, make sure Carrillada de Cerdo (Iberian Pork Cheeks for non-Spanish speakers, like us) is one of the 547 dishes you order.

Offer: 2 for 1 meals, Monday – Thursday

Annies.

Owned by Corrie actress, Jenny McAlpine, you can’t really get much more Manc than Annies. Serving up some of the best British grub you can get your chops around, the menu features everything from pies and steaks to sea bass and salads.

Our fave is the ol’ faithful Cottage Pie. Packed with beef, peas and carrots, topped with velvety Maris Pipers and served with seasonal veg and gravy, it goes down a real treat.

Oh, and the décor’s pretty adorable too.

Offer: 2 for 1 meals, 7 days a week
